The Wines

Located in the rich fruit growing region of Payette County, Seventh Son Vineyard uses the patented 'œPump Under' fermentation process to produce delightful fruit forward wines. A small family boutique winery producing estate grown wines in its first year of production with only 400 cases of wine produced this year. Be sure to try the Christmas Rose: A mulled wine that provides a fun holiday treat to any gathering. Spiced with warmth and cheer, serve warm or chilled. seventhsonvineyard.com

Coiled Wines is a new small-production wine label dedicated to crafting elegant wines from Idaho's Snake River Valley grapes. Although winemaker Leslie Preston draws her professional experience from the Napa Valley, which she now calls home, working with Idaho grapes allows her to take part in the growing enthusiasm for Idaho wines. Having grown up in Boise, Preston feels the Coiled label offers a unique opportunity to combine her passion for making wine and her attachment to Idaho. www.coiledwines.com

About Located in downtown Sandpoint, Idaho, Pend d'Oreille Winery winemaker Steve Meyer uses traditional French methods and grapes sourced from world-class vineyards around the Northwest to produce award winning wines including Pinot Gris, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, the very popular Huckleberry Blush and reserve wines. The wine bar, tasting room and gift shop, including unique gifts for home, life and garden, are open daily for tours, tastings, and live music most weekends. www.powine.com

With the help of friends and family, Bill and Bev Fraser planted Fraser Vineyard in the spring of 2003.  The Canyon County site, in the new Snake River Valley Appellation, was selected for its steep south facing slope, 2,700 foot elevation and abundant Idaho sunshine. The vineyard is comprised of three Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot and we utilize a drip irrigation and a vertical shoot positioning (VSP) trellis system. Our wines are fermented in small open topped fermenters and aged in new American and French oak barrels. www.fraservineyard.com

Located in the Eagle Foothills and part of the new Snake River Valley AVA (American Viticulture Area), 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards has produced award winning wines since our first wine release, May 10, 2008. Our Estate Grown wines display the clarity and purity of organically grown fruit. New releases include Malbec, Syrah, Viognier and Chardonnay: wines that reflect the terroir of our vineyard site. World class wine created by green farming methods that also ensure the preservation of the land for future Idaho families is our goal. Visit us online at www.3HorseRanchVineyards.com or come visit the tasting room for a very special wine tasting experience.

Davis Creek Cellars is a small winery founded in 2007. We produce red and white wines from grapes grown in the Snake River Valley AVA. Davis Creek Cellars' wines are made from Northwest grown grapes. Most of them come from the Snake River Valley. www.daviscreekcellars.com

With our vineyard located in the heart of the Snake River Appellation and the talent of Winemaker Neil Glancey, Woodriver Cellars is gaining quite the reputation for excellent, award winning wines. Mr. Glancey uses sustainable vineyard practices, tending the grapes himself insisting that, 'Great wines always start at the vineyard'. Using small-lot fermentation and 100% French Oak Barrels accentuate the unique flavors of each harvest. www.woodrivercellars.com

Named after an 11th century medieval tower, St. Regulus Wines joins old world tradition with state-of-the-art methods. The wines of St. Regulus are carefully crafted by winemaker Dave Rule using our patent-pending, pump-under fermentors. He meticulously ferments his wines to be fruity, bold, full-bodied, and rich in tannins and color. St. Rule Fermenting opened to the public in August 2008 in Weiser, Idaho. www.stregulus.com

The first of a growing trend in Idaho's organic vineyards and wineries, Holesinsky's Vineyard and Winery was created by winemaker James Holesinsky to honor of his father Frank's lifelong dream. Holesinsky began in 2001 with the planting of 1000 chardonnay. In 2002 the vineyard grew with the addition of 3000 syrah, 2000 Merlot, and 200 Port (Sauzao, Tiuta Cao, Touragia); the growth continued in 2006 with 1000 Cabernet Sauvignon, 1000 Riesling, and adding Muscat in 2007. The mission of Holesinsky's Vineyard is to create world class wine with no short cuts, impurities, over processing, filtering, additives, or new oak. All of Holesinsky's wines are made using certified USDA organic grapes. www.holesinsky.com

Bitner Vineyards consists of 15 acres of premium vinifera wine grapes.  First plantings in 1981 consisted of Riesling and Chardonnay making these some of the oldest blocks in Idaho.  The vineyards are located in the beautiful Snake river valley of southwestern Idaho and the quality of the grapes is the result of the true "terroir" of the area. www.bitnervineyards.com
