26th Annual Alive After Five Summer Concert Series

Boise's favorite Summer Concert Series runs June 1st through September 28th every Wednesday and is held in the Grove Plaza downtown Boise. Listen to live music and enjoy cool beverages, vendor booths and delicious food each week. Cool off in the fountain...dance 'til you drop...or just sit back and watch! Either way, it's a great event for the whole family to enjoy...and it's FREE to attend! The event starts at 5pm and lasts until 8pm. Be sure to check out the Alive After Five threads!

TIPS FOR CHARITY

The Downtown Boise Association is seeking applications from non-profit organizations to provide volunteers for the 2012 Alive After Five Concert series. The Downtown Boise Association selection committee will chose a different nonprofit organization for each month of the event (June, July, August and September).

The non-profit organization must be able to supply the event with the following:
  • A minimum of 22 Volunteers per Wednesday for June and September, and 24 volunteers for July and August are needed. We encourage you to recruit more than the allocated volunteers per week so that you have alternates to replace any no-shows
  • Volunteers must be 21 or older.
  • Volunteers must check in no later than 4:30pm and work to 8:30pm.
  • Each volunteer will be required to sign a Liability Release form holding the Downtown Boise Association harmless.
  • A lead coordinator that works with the DBA and checks in volunteers on site each week
Volunteer Duties include:
  • Cashiers (12) to sell beer, wine or soda products. Each cashier must check that the person buying an alcoholic beverage has a wristband which indicates that they are of legal age to consume alcohol.
  • Volunteers (8-10) to pour beer and wine products. (10) for July and August.
  • Volunteers (2) to assist with ID checks and wrist-banding.
  • Customer Service is paramount. Volunteers must be committed to providing quick and friendly service to the attendees each week.
Downtown Boise Association will provide the following:
  • Tips collected during Wednesday's events will be collected, counted by the DBA and a check provided to non-profit organization the first week of the following month.
  • DBA will provide a Booth Space at the event each week to the non-profit organization should the option be taken.
  • DBA will provide beer branded t-shirts to volunteers should the non-profit choose not to wear their own branded t-shirts.
  • DBA will provide on-site training for all volunteers.
  • DBA will handle all cash change and tip exchanges.
