Jazz on the Grove

Grove Plaza, Friday September 5th, 2008

Friday night September 5th, Syringa Bank and KNIN Channel 9 present Jazz on the Grove, featuring 2007 Independent Music Awards Winner  Garaj Mahal bringing an innovative fusion of funky jazz with a tasty world music flare to downtown Boise according to award organizers Music Resource Group. This concert is free to the public and is a signature event of "Fall for Boise". Onomatopoeia, with their eclectic and upbeat music which has been described as "music you wouldn't expect to emerge from Idaho" will be the opening act.

Staging the event at the Grove Plaza, Boise's gathering place in the heart of downtown, is a way to present quality jazz to a larger audience. At its core, Jazz on the Grove is an opportunity to give thanks to our community for supporting and helping to maintain a thriving downtown area.

  • 7:45 – 9:45 pm Garaj Mahal

Open seating at the evening concert is free, and food, refreshments, beer & wine will be available to purchase from local restaurant booths. And remember – your first hour of parking is free in downtown public garages.
